  • What is Physiotherapy and How Does it Help?

Physiotherapy can be defined as a treatment method that focuses on using evidence-based and natural approaches to help reduce an individual’s pain while simultaneously restoring their wellbeing.

There are three main reasons why physiotherapy is a great alternative therapy to consider:

    • Physiotherapy allows for a fast and optimal repair of your body

    • Physiotherapy improves your quality of life

    • Physiotherapy treats many conditions

Through a variety of different treatment methods — such as massage, exercise, and stretching, physiotherapists help patients manage physical pain and injuries caused by a wide range of problems.

  • What to Expect on the First Visit?

Upon your first visit, you can expect to have a full history and assessment of your health/condition. Your licensed physiotherapist will do a physical assessment to better understand your strength, range of motion, balance, and any restrictions you may have.

Working collaboratively, your physiotherapist will set some goals for you to achieve. You will then work together to create a full treatment plan that caters to your specific needs.

  • Is Physiotherapy Painful?

Physiotherapy should not be painful and is completely safe when done with a licensed practitioner. Physiotherapy works deep into the tissue and thus it is quite possible that there may be some soreness after a treatment session.

Stretching and deep tissue work often causes some temporary soreness. It’s important to note that sometimes getting better requires you to also put in some hard work.

  • Rescheduling Policy

We respectfully ask that in the event you are unable to attend your appointment, you provide 24 hrs notice to either cancel or reschedule. Late cancellations and no-shows will result in a $25 fee that is not reimbursable by your insurance company.
