MEET THE TEAM
Tania Robertson, Registered Physiotherapist,
B.Sc–Bio-Medicine, B.Sc PT
Tania Robertson completed her Bachelor of Science in Bio-Medicine at the University of Guelph and went on to complete her Physiotherapy degree at the University of Toronto in 2000. Tania has worked in Private Practice throughout Oshawa, Courtice and Bowmanville for 20 years. During this time she has been affiliated with Queens University as a clinical instructor and has now owned and operated East Oshawa Physiotherapy since 2012.
Tania has completed numerous post graduate courses on manual therapy, acupuncture, therapeutic and athletic taping techniques, McKenzie and McGill teachings to treat lower back pain, chronic pain therapies, and concussion management strategies. The primary focus of Tania’s practice is to provide quality individualized patient care, utilizing all available tools and her team to reach her patient’s goals.
Away from the clinic, Tania looks forward to spending time with her husband and two boys who are extremely active in Baseball Oshawa’s rep and elite programs. She also enjoys ultimate Frisbee, volleyball and swimming.
Ashley Konecny, Registered Kinesiologist
Ashley completed her Specialized Honours Bacheolor of Arts Degree in Kinesiology and Health Sciences from York University in 2013. She has been a Certified Personal Trainer with the Canadian Society for Exercise Physiology which allowed her to work closely training and coaching individuals with unique health conditions such as COPD, Hypertension, Heart Disease and Type II Diabetes. Ashley is also experienced in Falls Prevention Assessment, strength and conditioning classes in nursing and retirement homes, personal training, Kinesio taping and clinical physiotherapy treatment. Ashley specializes in exercise prescription and technique, but carries out many clinical duties at East Oshawa Physio while caring for her patients. Her main professional goal is to improve the quality of life for as many people as possible.
In her spare time, Ashley enjoys living an active lifestyle and is always baking, doing crafts and spending time outdoors with her husband and two children.
Kipley Marshall, Registered Massage Therapist
Kipley graduated from the Canadian College of Massage and Hydrotherapy in 1998, and has over 20 years experience working as a Registered Massage Therapist. She joined the East Oshawa Physiotherapy team in 2005, and has enjoyed providing a complete care approach to clients, including but not limited to, injuries associated with motor vehicle accidents, soft tissue injuries, and chronic pain management.
Using many types of massage techniques including deep tissue, trigger point therapy, myofascial release, lymphatic drainage, as well as relaxation for stress management, her extensive knowledge has been described as having “eyes” on her fingers!
Kipley is a lover of the outdoors, often camping, skiing, playing ultimate frisbee, and enjoying daily walks with her dog Macy. She is a dedicated practitioner and passionate about her clients’ needs, always striving to provide the best care possible!
